Game Preview

Fight Preview

In place of Anthony Young, George “Red Tiger” Ashie of Ghana will face Alexis Rocha in the Saturday night main event. Young is out with a nose ailment and hasn’t been seen by many people since defeating Sadam Ali in 2019.

With a current knockout ratio of 59.1%, Rocha has a good amount of power in his hands and is 5-feet-10-inches tall with a 70-inch reach. He has, however, fought to a draw in his last two matches. Rashidi Ellis defeated Rocha by 12-round unanimous decision in October 2020 while vying for the vacant WBC International Welterweight Title. This was Rocha’s only professional loss.

Rocha defeated Miguel Perez in the first round to win the vacant WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Title in March 2018. He then successfully defended the title against Shoki Sakai, Berlin Abreu, Roberto Valenzuela Jr., and Brad Soloman, stopping Abreu in the eighth and Valenzuela in the fifth.

Let’s check the latest picks, Boxing news, stats and Boxing expert picks for Alexis Rocha vs George Ashie. We’ve plenty of Boxing predictions for you to consider.

Then, in July of last year, he defeated Luis Alberto Veron in a 10-round unanimous decision to claim the vacant WBO NABO Welterweight Belt. He also defeated Blair Cobbs in a ninth-round knockout.

George Ashie, who is 38 years old and 13 years older than Rocha, climbs through the ropes with a mark of 33-5-1 and 25 Kos. Since going pro in 2003, he has boxed 199 rounds. Unfortunately, Ashie’s height and weight are unknown, thus we are unable to compare his size to Rocha’s.

Ashie has more power than the typical person because he has defeated his last five opponents and currently has a knockout percentage of 64.1%. Ashie was defeated by Martin Watson in 2006 on points after six rounds after losing his pro debut against Fuseini Ahmed.

In addition, he refused to rule in the cases of Stephen Ormond in 2018, Emmanuel Tagoe in 2012, and Kevin Mitchell in 2006. His lone fight was a 10-round contest in 2004 against Yakubu Amidu.
