Murodjon Akhmadaliev of Uzbekistan, the unbeaten IBF and WBA Super Bantamweight Champion, will defend his titles against former Bantamweight Champion Marlon Tapales of the Philippines on Saturday, April 8th.
 
Akhmadaliev won the belts by split decision over Danny Roman in January 2020, then defended them by fifth-round stoppage over Ryosuke Iwasa in April 2021, and most recently stopped Ronny Rios in the 12th round in June. Tapales last fought in May, when he stopped Jose Estrella with a body shot in the second round.
