Prediction Analysis: Carrington vs De Gracia June 7, 2024

Carrington vs De Gracia Fight Preview

This Saturday, June 8 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Panamanian power puncher Brayan De Gracia will take on featherweight contender Bruce Carrington in a 10-round co-feature. Keep reading more articles like this for the most in depth boxing analysis out there.

Bruce Carrington Analysis: He’s never lost a fight

Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington, a resident of Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, won five bouts in the calendar year, earning him the title of Ring Magazine’s 2023 Prospect of the Year. When Carrington faced Bernard Torres back in February, it was his first time in the ring in 2024. Carrington set the pace in the first round, but Torres had a brief moment after landing a strong combination. Carrington put Torres out of the fight with eight seconds left in the fourth with a vicious right-hand shot. Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (11-0, 7 KOs), ranked #4 by the WBO and #7 by the WBC, is now prepared to advance in his boxing career. Carrington believes he will have the chance to win a world championship, but he has work to do on Saturday night.

Brayan De Gracia Analysis: He’s got a higher KO percentage

For his first trip in the ring this year, De Gracia (29-3-1, 25 KOs) hopes to return to the winner’s column. In Frisco, Texas, in July, the 30-year-old David, Panama native defeated Edward Vazquez by unanimous decision. De Gracia takes the place of Jose Enrique Vivas, who had to pull out from the fight due to a delayed visa. With an 86% knockout percentage against 64% for Carrington, the statistics indicate that Gracia has a significant advantage over Carrington. Carrington-De Gracia will be the co-fight for the junior middleweight main event between Patrick Teixeira and Xander Zayas.
