Daniel Jacobs Analysis: In 37 fights he has 30 knockouts
The 37-year-old Jacobs (37-4, 30 KOs) isn’t saying who he plans to challenge for a world title at super middleweight, but Canelo Alvarez is the only fighter with all the belts. Put differently, Jacobs desires a rematch with Canelo, whom he was defeated by a unanimous decision after twelve rounds on May 4, 2019. In 2015, Jacobs successfully defended his title against Caleb Truax in the 12th round. Later that year, he stopped Sergio Mora in the second round, and in September of that same year, he stopped Mora once more. He stopped Peter Quillin in the opening round in between. When he faced Dmitry Pirog in July 2010 for the vacant WBO Middleweight Title, he was stopped in the fifth round, marking his first career loss.
Shane Mosley Jr Analysis: He has a reach advantage
Although the 33-year-old Las Vegas fighter Mosley Jr. isn’t quite as good as his well-known father, he is still a respectable professional with a record of 21-4 with 12KOs and has been looking very good lately. With a reach of 77 inches and a height of 6 feet 1 inch, he is one inch taller than Jacobs and has a four-inch advantage in reach. Mosley, who was supposedly 37-10 as an amateur, has fought 135 rounds since turning pro in 2014. Although he isn’t exactly regarded as a heavy hitter, knockouts have accounted for 57.1% of his victories. Though he went the distance in five of the previous six games, he has stopped his last two opponents.
