Xander Zayas Analysis: Still undefeated

At the age of sixteen, Zayas (18-0) signed with Top Rank. The 21-year-old, two-time gold medallist at the U.S. National Championships, took home the NABF super welterweight title in 2022. Headlining his first fight card is Zayas, who has won 12 bouts via knockout. After turning pro a little after turning seventeen, he has been frequently featured ever since. Three fights were had by Zayas last year. He first defeated Ronald Cruz in the 2023 edition of this yearly event, which featured Josh Taylor vs. Teofimo Lopez as the main attraction. Next, on the undercard of Luis Alberto Lopez vs. Joet Gonzalez, he stopped Roberto Valenzuela Jr. Finally, in December, Zayas put an end to Jorge Fortea via knockout while Robeisy Ramirez and Rafael Espinoza were on the undercard.

Patrick Teixeira Analysis: He’s won 3 consecutive fights

The former WBO super welterweight champion is Teixeira (34-4). After losing the title to Brian Castano, he lost three straight fights before winning three more, all by knockout. After being soundly defeated by Curtis Stevens in his debut fight in 2016, he managed to gain a chance at the next round with a 2019 decision over the undefeated Carlos Adames. Teixeira was given a chance to defend his championship after that, but in the beginning of 2021, he was defeated handily by Brian Castano. Teixeira would go on to lose three straight fights after being disqualified for striking Paul Valenzuela Cuesta behind the head in April 2022. Later that July, he would lose to Magomed Kurbanov by unanimous decision.
