Despite being the younger of the two, Ford, 25, has established a reputation for being a resilient fighter who never gives up. His perfect record of 15-0-1 with 8 KOs speaks volumes about his boxing prowess. Furthermore, his 53.33% KO ratio indicates the ideal balance between method and insanity. The American boxer’s size advantage sets him apart from his opponent. Ford is taller than Ball, who is 5’2″ (157 cm), at 5’7″ (170 cm). At 69 inches (175 cm), he also has the benefit of reach. He defeated Reece Bellotti in the third round in the 2021 WBA Continental Featherweight Title fight, then, he defeated Richard Medina via majority decision in 10 rounds to win the vacant IBF North American Featherweight Belt.
Nick Ball Analysis: He has 11 KO’s in 19 wins
The 27-year-old Ball from Liverpool, who made his professional debut in 2017, comes into the match with a nearly flawless record of 19-0-1 with 11 Kos. He had a successful amateur career before then, boxing at the 2013 Great Britain Junior Championships. He loses five inches in height to Ford because he is 5 feet 2 inches tall with an undisclosed reach. In addition, he possesses respectable hand strength; 58% of his victories have come via stoppage, and he has completed the distance in his previous two bouts. Before going the distance with Isaac Dogboe in November of last year, he had won five straight fights by stoppage and eleven of thirteen overall.
