(Video) Jaron Ennis vs Karen Chukhadzhian Prediction and Analysis November 9th, 2024

Ennis vs Chukhadzhian 2 Fight Preview

This Saturday, in an eagerly awaited welterweight title bout from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis will take on Karen Chukhadzhian in a long awaited rematch. Considering Ennis already outclassed Chukhadzhian, he is the overwhelming favorite for the fight as he looks to prove his talents once again. Here’s our Jaron Ennis vs Karen Chukhadzhian betting analysis.

Jaron Ennis Analysis: Looking for Dominating Win

Jaron “Boots” Ennis is quickly emerging as a star at welterweight, showing incredible power, speed, and stoppage ability in the division. An always entertaining and explosive fighter, Ennis has been nothing short of consistent with his performances, enshrining himself as one of the fan favorites. His first meeting with Chukhadzhian was one of the rare instances where he didn’t seem completely unstoppable. He won comfortably, but the fight was a lot less exciting, with the largely defensive game plan of Chukhadzhian serving to take much of the shine off of Ennis.

  • Since that fight, the American has been quite active in pursuit of bigger name opponents and will no doubt look to show a better performance of himself in this rematch. His team would have no doubt worked to make sure that he doesn’t get caught out in the same situations, so he should be prepared to deal with whatever defensive shenanigans Chukhadzhian comes with.
  • Based on skill set and adjustments to strategy, Jaron is likely to remain in control with the aspiration for a more dominating victory this time.

Karen Chukhadzhian Analysis: Looking for an Upset

The Ukranian’s game plan in the last fight against Ennis was pretty evident, slow down the pace and make the fight more tactical. Such a game plan would prevent Ennis from landing his usual powerhouse punches, but for sure did not help him in taking any rounds on the scorecards. Chukhadzhian connected just 17% of his total punches, very little success on jabs, thus not allowing him to keep Ennis at bay.

  • He will work on finessing his approach to landing cleaner punches but remain destructive to disrupt the ability of Ennis to get a good rhythm.
  • Even though the expectation for victory in this next boxing match seems slim, he did show his ability to bother Ennis enough to make it an awful fight, it was just an extremely slow one.
