Edin Terzic’s team is already in last place after disappointing draws against Bochum and Heidenheim before the international break. However, on the road at Freiburg last weekend, Dortmund overcame a 2-1 lead to win 4-2 and get within striking distance.
Even though Dortmund won the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup against PSG 2-1, Tuchel’s Parisians won the second leg 2-0 at the Parc des Princes and advanced to the championship game, where they were defeated by BVB’s regular foe Bayern.
