Today, two National League teams on opposite sides of the playoff cut line face off at Truist Park when the Atlanta Braves and the Colorado Rockies play the middle game of a three-game series. Atlanta dropped the rubber game of a three-game series on the road with St. Louis as they were knocked off 6-3 Sunday night.

Colorado managed to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Mets in the Big Apple as they scratched out a victory Sunday afternoon. The Rockies entered yesterday’s game last in the National League West, 35 games behind the Dodgers for the top spot in the division race. They were 15.5 games behind the Padres for the final Wild Card spot in the National League. On Sunday, Colorado outhit the Mets 7-3 with Charlie Blackmon and Randal Grichuk each recording a pair.

On the other side, The Braves entered second in the NL East, 3 games behind the Mets for the top spot in the division. In the NL Wild Card picture, they owned the top wild card spot and were 10 games clear of the Brewers to remain on the right side of the playoff cut line. On Sunday night, Michael Harris II had four hits while Eddie Rosario and Travis d’Arnaud each added a pair.
