In what could easily be the most entertaining series in the MLB for this upcoming weekend, the New York Yankees, aka the best team in MLB right now and the Chicago White Sox, that are starting to show some true signs of life and remembrance of how good they were last season, will be linking up today in Chicago for the first game of a four-game series that will go up until Sunday.
The Yankees, who are coming off one of the most dominant winning streaks this season in all of baseball and who are riding on a new three-game win streak right now will be sending RHP Luis Gil for his first start of the season, while for Chicago it will be ace RHP Dylan Cease who will be taking the mound hoping to score a win against one of the most dominant offenses in the game today.

When speaking of the New York Yankees this season it’s hard to pick where to begin. At first the team seemed like it would go through yet another season of doubt, overly hyped expectations and strong doses of reality, but then they started winning, and winning, and winning, and winning, and by now you get the idea.

Their pitching rotation and bullpen are the kind of unit that any team wanting to go for a World Series run would love to have. At the end of the day the old saying that offenses win games but pitching rotations win championships could not be more true and this Yankees team has the depth in their pitching department to make a true case for wanting to go for it all. Just one last bit of information, the last times the Yankees have had a start of a season like this year’s they have always gone on to the World Series, keep that in mind.
The White Sox apparently remembered that they have the stuff to be a great team not only in the AL Central, but in the American League in general. Thanks in part to Minnesota’s recent slump, the White Sox are all about the hype of taking over first place in their division sooner rather than later and a win at home against the Yankees today could definitely be a great start to that. Having Dylan Cease on the mound will surely be a great advantage to take into account for Chicago, as long as Cease gets the required help from his offense of course.
