For Toronto the name of the game is playing catch up against the Yankees. While at first in the beginning of the season the Blue Jays were commanding the AL East, they saw their 1st place spot be taken away by a very, very good Yankees team, but that doesn’t mean that Toronto isn’t ready to put up a great fight.
Their offense led by George Springer and of course Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has enough firepower in them to face any of New York’s starting pitchers and put them through the ringer, but it will be what starter Ross Stripling can do to shut out New York’s offense from the mound that could end up becoming the most important factor in order for Toronto to score a much desired win against their divisional rivals today.
