A very good and intense matchup between two of the more solid teams in the National League will go down today at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee are getting set to host the ever so strong San Francisco Giants in a single game before both teams start off their respective beginning of the week series.
While this game will be played due to a scheduling mix up that has risen because of the one-week delay that the season underwent at the beginning, that still doesn’t shy away from the fact that baseball fans will be in for some great action. Still though, the Brewers looked very good, especially from a pitching perspective as starter Eric Lauer tossed a career outing wit 13 K’s over six strong innings.
What’s needed now in Milwaukee is for Christian Yelich and all of the Brewers’ strong bats to come alive more as they welcome San Francisco. A Brewers win would help them immensely in their fight to take over command of the NL Central leadership, and with former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes slated to take the mound, the chances look pretty good for Milwaukee if the offense comes to play.
