Today the Cincinnati Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals finish up a three-game series with their last encounter at Great American Ball Park. The Reds have gone just 4-6 in their last 10, but only scored an average of five runs per game.
The Cardinals will send one of their recently acquired starters, Jose Quintana, to the mound. With the Cardinals, Quintana has gone 1-1 with a 3.28 ERA and has allowed 26 hits in 24.2 innings. The Reds reply back with lefty Mike Minor. He will be making his 16th start of the season and is coming off his best performance in recent memory. On Friday, Minor went seven innings and allowed six hits and two runs while striking out seven against the Nationals.
