On the other side, the Rays pounded out 13 hits and nine runs against the Yankees and the pitching staff on Friday, led by starter Jeffrey Springs, held New York to just five hits and struck out 13 batters. On Saturday, the Rays moved within four games of the Yankees with a 2-1 win. Corey Kluber pitched seven shutout innings allowing just two hits in the huge win.
