New York Analysis: Aming to keep a steady ship in the league
For the first time since 2021, the Red Bulls are currently enjoying an eight-game regular season unbeaten streak. In league play, Charlotte FC is presently riding a three-game winning streak. In all competitions, they have failed to win their previous three home games. Dean Smith’s goal upon taking over was to take Charlotte FC to the higher levels. He has fulfilled that promise thus far. The squad finished the previous season in the Eastern Conference somewhere between eighth and twelfth, but under Smith’s direction, they have continuously finished in the top six this year. Charlotte came in 21st within MLS for Goals Allowed during the previous season. They have improved significantly this season and presently have the second-best defense across the league after giving up only 27 goals in 25 games.
