Game Preview

Unstoppable. That’s the best way to describe Jimmy Butler so far. Miami Heat’s forward led the way in Game 4 with 36 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. The Heat won 110-86 and took a comfortable 3-1 lead.

“I’m not the only one in a rhythm. The guys are going to pick it up for us. Everybody is playing their best basketball at the right time,” Butler said.

He’s not wrong. Miami was able to get the victory even with Kyle Lowry (leg) out. The team decided to not risk him anymore after a poor performance in Game 3. Gabe Vincent took his place in the starting lineup and finished with 11 points, four assists, and three rebounds.

Having players like Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Victor Oladipo coming off the bench it’s also very helpful.

“This is a playoff rotation. Things happen and you have to be ready to go. We knew something would happen as it always does with every team in the playoffs,” head coach Erik Spoelstra said.

Defensively, the Heat limited Trae Young to nine points. In fact, only De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, and Kevin Knox II scored 10+ points.

“We’ve got to do a better job of figuring out how to get open looks so I can create for my teammates and myself,” Young explained.

Well, if they don’t, they won’t be able to avoid elimination on Tuesday night in Miami. That’s right, the first-round NBA Playoffs series returns to FTX Arena for Game 5. Miami is 31-12 when playing at home. Also, 5-0 against the spread in their last five games at home.

This time, the Heat are favorites by 7½ points, while they dominate the Moneyline thanks to a -320 price. As for the total, it’s set at 217½. Keep in mind that the total went under in the last five meetings between the two.

Lowry remains out, while P.J. Tucker (calf) and Caleb Martin (ankle) are questionable. Regarding the Hawks, Lou Williams (back) is out, while Clint Capela (knee) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) are questionable.
