The Boston Celtics got off to a good start in 2022-23 with a 127-116 home win over the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA season opener on Tuesday. The Heat opened the season on a down note and there were some troubling signs from a roster that is going through some upheaval. Miami parted ways with last season’s power forward P.J. Tucker as the veteran signed with Philadelphia this offseason. Tucker gave the Heat timely three-point shooting, rebounding and defensive toughness last season. The Heat have started the season with an unusually small lineup with Caleb Martin and Jimmy Butler playing forward and Tyler Herro and Kyle Lowry at the guard spots.
Boston’s lineup with both Tatum and Brown at the forward spots will create mismatches on the defensive end for the Heat and suffocate them on the offensive end, which is why Boston should take the win back to the northeast after this game, however, you can never rule out Miami.
