Game Preview

After 478 regular-season games, Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine finally made it to the NBA Playoffs. However, after Game 1 of the first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, it seems like he won’t be able to handle the pressure. LaVine shot 31.6% from the field.

To be fair, he wasn’t the only one with a poor shooting performance. DeMar DeRozan shot for 24%, while Nikola Vucevic shot for 33.3%.

“It’s nothing they’re doing defensively. Most of the shots I took were wide open. No way in hell I shoot 6-of-25 again,” said DeRozan after the game. He better not, otherwise, the Bulls don’t stand a chance.

As for Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo met expectations after finishing with 27 points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks. You can expect an even more motivated Antetokounmpo for Game 2. Once again, the Greek Freak is among the finalists for MVP.

As expected, Milwaukee comes in as the NBA Betting favorite, this time by 10 points. Here are a couple of reasons for it. The Bucks have won all five meetings between the two, four in the regular season. Plus, they’re 46-20 when playing as favorites.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Bucks won Game 1 despite it wasn’t Khris Middleton’s best effort. He finished with only 11 points. Also, head coach Mike Budenholzer didn’t feel the need to play Serge Ibaka. That’s how dominant the Bucks can be in the paint.

The Bulls need Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu to step up, especially with Lonzo Ball out. Alex Caruso is a great defender but lacks explosiveness on offense. A little more help from Patrick Williams wouldn’t be bad either.

The Bucks won’t have George Hill, who continues to deal with abdominal problems. Nevertheless, Bobby Portis (10 points, 12 rebounds in Game 1) and Jordan Nwora (didn’t play) have been upgraded to probable.
