This Thursday we have a spectacle when the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The Cavs come into this game coming off a 116-114 loss to Utah while the Blazers will be desperate to end their four game losing streak.
The Blazers are going through a bad moment accumulating four consecutive losses against Minnesota, Indiana, Toronto and most recently Orlando. Portland is currently ranked 11th in the Western Conference and they score 114 points per 100 possessions while their defense allows 113 points in return, they are a solid team but the offense has to work if they want to beat the Cavs.
The Cavs on the other hand are being a little inconsistent, they come into this game after a loss to Utah 116-114 where their offense was led by Donovan Mitchell with his impressive 46 points for the loss and 6 assists, Kevin Love contributed 9 rebounds for his team.
No doubt it was a great game for Mitchell playing against his former team, let’s hope we can see this performance on Thursday night.
The Cavs are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games while the Trail Blazers are 2-8 in their last 10. Portland has already lost eight of its last 10 games but they are very good at shooting from the three-point line, which is not good for the Cavs.
I think the Blazers will know how to take advantage of the Cavs’ weaknesses and get out of this bad streak and avoid their fifth consecutive loss.
