They will be playing their first-round game of the season on Monday. After opening the season with losses to the Wizards and Spurs, Indiana beat the Pistons 124-115 as a 1.5-point favorite. Rookie Bennedict Mauthrin, who was drafted sixth overall in the 2022 draft scored a team-best 27points in the win and is second on the team averaging 24 ppg. Tyrese Haliburton leads Indiana with 25.7 ppg and is tied for first in the NBA with 9.7 assists per game.
