Game Preview

After a very poor shooting performance in Game 1 (24 percent), Chicago Bulls’ Forward DeMar DeRozan said: “No way in hell I shoot 6 for 25 again.” Well, he kept his word and led the Bulls to a 114-110 victory in Game 2 with 41 points (51.6 percent from the floor).

He became only the third Bulls’ player to score 40+ points in a playoff victory. He joined Michael Jordan, of course, and Derrick Rose.

Nikola Vucevic and Zach Lavine contributed with 24 and 20 points respectively. The big fella also added 13 rebounds. Last but not least, Alex Caruso played key defense and led the game in assists with 10.

“Credit to Chicago. Especially those early forced turnovers. The hands and the activity. Getting deflections. Creating turnovers. We got to be sharper,” Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said.

As usual, Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 33 points. Brook Lopez followed him with 25. The bad news is that Khris Middleton suffered a knee injury and he’s expected to miss the remainder of the series.

Middleton (20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.4 assist in the regular season) missed 16 games on the road to the NBA Playoffs. Milwaukee went 7-9 in those games.

He joins George Hill (abdominal) and Bobby Portis (eye) on the injury list. Portis is probable, though. As for the Bulls, Lonzo Ball (knee) and Matt Thomas (leg) remain out.

Despite Middleton’s absence, the Bucks come in as road favorites by 2½ points. They’re 4-1 against the spread in their last five games away from home.

The thing is that the Bulls have been considerably better when playing at the United Center, where they own a 27-14 record (20-23 on the road). They also are 25-16 against the spread.
Summing up, you can expect another close game
