The Timberwolves have lost four of their last five games after falling to the Knicks 120-107 on Monday. Karl Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves in the loss with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Things won’t get easier soon as Minnesota will head to Memphis and Cleveland this weekend after this game.
Minnesota is ninth in offensive efficiency and 12th in scoring with 113.7 ppg. Karl Anthony Towns leads the team with 22.3 ppg and also averages nine rebounds per game, followed by Anthony Edwards who is second on the team averaging 22.2 ppg. Rudy Gobert who is averaging 12.6 ppg and leads the NBA with 13.9 rebounds per game, has missed the last two games but is probable against Phoenix.
The Suns have played well without Chris Paul in the past, but with Cameron Johnson also out, the absence of Jae Crowder now becomes more significant as the rotation of wing-scoring options for Phoenix is a bit thin. The Timberwolves are the deeper team right now, so it’s more than likely that they take the win on Wednesday.
