Thunder Analysis: They just lost by 12 points
With 30 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder. Nobody else, though, was able to score more than 13 points. Chet Holmgren shot 5 for 11 and finished with 13 points. Similarly, Luguentz Dort scored 12 points on 4 of 11 shots. Jalen Williams shot 6 for 13 and finished with 12 points. Josh Giddey finished last with 11 points. In Game 5, the Thunder had awful shooting. They struggled on the boards, shot poorly from beyond the arc, and only managed to block two attempts. Even though they forced 14 turnovers, they were unfortunately unable to win. Their greatest players are the first to need to perform; all of their players must perform.
Mavericks Analysis: Luka Doncic just scored a triple double
Luca Doncic scored 31 points, dished out 11 assists, and pulled down 10 rebounds in an explosive triple-double. It was noteworthy that this was his sixth triple-double in the playoffs. In the end, the Mavs had a successful comeback after losing Game 4 at home despite blowing a 14-point lead. With 19 points, Derrick Jones Jr. set a career high in the playoffs. P.J. Washington Jr. contributed ten points and ten rebounds as well. In Game 5, the Mavs shot incredibly well. Notably, they made 52.6 percent of their shots from the field, with 40 percent coming from three-point range. In addition, the Mavericks controlled the boards 46–33, which provided them with numerous chances to dictate how the game progressed. Additionally, the Mavericks stopped five shots.
