Iowa State will try to maintain their solid start to the 2022-23 season when they take on Iowa in a rivalry encounter on Thursday night. The Hawkeyes managed to go 5-0 in their first five games of the campaign, taking down Seton Hall and Clemson. Now they have lost two of their three matches since then, losing to TCU and Duke.
Their single win during that three-game stretch was against Georgia Tech in a dominating 81-65 victory. They were behind during virtually the entire game against Duke at the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden last Tuesday. Iowa was heading into the game averaging 86.4 PPG, but Duke held their opponents to 65 points for the eighth time.
