Winning non-conference games is one thing, but now that conference play has begun, it’s possible to tell the wheat from the chaff. Despite some impressive victories, Kansas State was defeated by the Horned Frogs in their most recent game on the road.
Unfortunately for them, the Wildcats’ calendar doesn’t get any easier as they play some of the best teams in the following two weeks. Even though Kansas State is a solid team, it’s very clear that they don’t have the depth that Kansas does. As we saw Saturday at home against Iowa State, the Jayhawks have demonstrated the ability to win close games.
