Game Preview

The 2023 Horizon League Tournament championship game will feature the Northern Kentucky Norse (21-12) and the Cleveland State Vikings (21-12) going head to head this evening. The Norse are coming off 5 straight wins, recently beating Youngstown State 75-63. As for  Cleveland State, they seem to be on the right path as well, the Vikings have won 7 out of their last 8 matches, including a morale booster 93-80 victory against Milwaukee.

Tipoff is set to start at 7pm Easter Time hosted at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Cleveland State’s junior forward Tristan Enaruna has become the key leadership piece for the squad this season. Enaruna has been fearlessly looking for the rim on every possession and absorbing contact from bigger players in the process. He leads the Squad in both scoring (15.6) and rebounds (6.7), while shooting a decent 51% from the field.

Right beside Enaruna we have senior guard Deshon Parker, who is a consistent playmaker and Creative mind in the backcourt with his main focus being finding Enaruna on the run. Parker utilizes his court vision to find open lanes, ultimately distracting opponents to create space then passing the ball to better looking shots.

Let’s check the latest picks, NCAAB news, stats and NCAAB expert picks for Northern Kentucky vs Cleveland State. We’ve plenty of NCAAB predictions for you to consider.

As for Northern Kentucky, junior guard Marques Warrick has been the key focus offensively for the Vikings. Warrick is a 3 level shooter with a keen ability to break through defensive walls. The Kentucky native stands 4th in the Horizon League for points (19.2). Sophomore guard Sam Vinson is Warrick’s dynamic duo in the backcourt. Vinson is another ball dribbler who has the jumper to threaten a slow reaction defensive line, however one of his advantages is his energetic movement around the floor to create space.

Both teams boast the exact same record going into this matchup, however we believe Enaruna’s runs will be hard for the Vikings to stop. Thus we take a Norse win this time around,
