St. Bonaventure makes the trip South to Charlottesville for a quarterfinal meeting with Virginia in the NIT Tournament. At stake is a trip to Madison Square Garden in New York and a spot in the semifinals.
The Bonnies come out of the Atlantic 10 and are 22-9 while the Cavs from the ACC are 21-13. St. Bonaventure is coming off road wins over Colorado and Oklahoma. This is the 17th NIT appearance for the school. This NIT journey has seen it travel more than 5,500 miles.
Virginia has never played St. Bonaventure before. The Cavaliers have won their two games by a total of four points in the tournament. UVA was sixth in the ACC.
