On Wednesday, the Pete Hanna Center will host an exciting college basketball game between the Samford Bulldogs and the VMI Keydets. Overall, VMI is holding a 5-10 record so far this season. The Keydets’ most recent game ended in a defeat to East Tennessee State, while Samford’s record now stands at 8-7 after a weekend victory over the Citadel.
With very important victories over Penn State NK, Regent VA, Navy, and Carlow, the VMI Keydets began the year with a record of 4-6. The Keydets have only managed a 1-4 record since that time, with defeats to American, Fordham, Furman, and East Tennessee State.

The Bulldogs went through a difficult period of seven straight losses, but they have finally turned the corner. During their losing skid, Samford faced some pretty challenging opponents, and a few of them were quite tight games.
However, Samford has scored 153 points in total over their last two games, so they should score well here. While on this losing skid, VMI has conceded 69 points or more in three of the four games, which ultimately makes the Bulldogs look like the strongest team in this matchup.
