Over on the Ole Miss side, they won their first seven games versus Troy, Central Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Tulsa, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Auburn. The Rebels would end up falling to LSU but they were able to beat Texas A&M in their last outing.
Back on October 29 versus Texas A&M, the Rebels were down 14-10 by halftime. Ole Miss rallied in the third quarter for a 14-0 edge and held on for a 31-28 win. QB Jaxson Dart put up 140 yards with three scores, and Quinshon Judkins added 205 yards and a TD on 34 carries.
The Tide put up a pretty good effort overall versus a solid LSU team in their loss over the weekend, bagging 465 total yards with 25 first downs. The tepid 6-of-16 on third downs and nine penalties didn’t help Alabama’s chances, though.
As for Ole Miss, they put on a rushing clinic in their last game versus Texas A&M. The Rebels would finish with a whopping 390 rush yards among their 530 total yards. Ole Miss also had 26 first downs and zero turnovers in the close victory.
Mississippi has scored 31 or more points in three of their last four games, and they should be able to keep up for most of this matchup, making this an interesting matchup to watch.
