The Army Black Knights and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will face each other Saturday in college football Week 6 at the BB&T Field. Army recently took on Georgia State in their last match, unfortunately for fans The Black Knights lost by a hefty 17 points. As for Wake Forest, they last played Florida State over the weekend, in that game the Deacons won by 10 points.
Army’s 2022 season started out with a tough matchup versus Coastal Carolina. The Knights lost in that instance 38-28, but were closer to the victory in game two with a 41-38 dreadful overtime loss to UTSA. Army’s first official win came in game three after demolishing Villanova 49-10.
In the Georgia State game, the Knights were down 17-0 going into the third quarter and by the end they lost 31-14, on that game the only player that showed up for the Knights was Tyhier Tyler who led the rush with 110 yards and two scores with 19 total carries.
Now going into Wake Forest, they were able to take a massive 44-10 win over VMI in their opening game of the season, then followed with a 45-25 win over Vanderbilt.
Matched up against Florida State, the Deacons scored 14 points in the second quarter finishing 31-21 in the clutch win. QB Sam Hartman achieved 234 yards with two scores, while Justice Ellison ended with 18 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown.
As for the possible result, The Deacons did a good job against a spirited Florida State team over the weekend, posting 405 total yards and 28 first downs, a really consistent output from the offense. Wake Forest benefitted from a total of 11 Seminoles penalties, but they also held the ball for 34:32 committing zero turnovers. As for Army, this past weekend’s loss wasn’t a good performance overall.
