The Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants meet Sunday in NFL action from MetLife Stadium. Baltimore is sitting at 3-2 so far and coming off a close victory versus the Bengals. As for the Giants, they’re currently 4-1. New York was able to beat Green Bay in their last outing.
Baltimore opened up the year with a 24-9 win over the Jets, then took a high-flying 42-38 loss to the Dolphins in week two. The Ravens would bounce back with a 37-26 win over the Patriots before a 23-20 loss to the Bills on October 2.
In the Bengals game back on Sunday, the Ravens managed to put up points in every quarter during a 19-17 win. QB Lamar Jackson finished with 174 yards, one TD and one interception. Jackson also led the rush with 12 carries for 58 yards.
Over on the Giants’ side, they were able to start out the year with consecutive wins. New York took out the Titans 21-20, then beat the Panthers 19-16. The Giants took their first loss 23-16 to the Cowboys, but then managed a 20-12 win over the Bears.
In game five versus the Packers, the Giants were down 20-10 at halftime. New York outscored Green Bay 17-2 the rest of the way in a 27-22 win. QB Daniel Jones managed 217 yards, and Saquon Barkley rushed 13 times for 70 yards and a score.
Overall, New York has been pretty impressive so far this year (outside of the Cowboys game) and they’ve exceeded expectations by most measurements. The Giants put up 338 yards, 24 first downs and zero turnovers versus the Packers. New York hasn’t scored more than 27 points this year yet, but their defense is doing a great job.
As for Baltimore, they weren’t quite as electric as usual in the Bengals game. The Ravens put up 325 total yards in that one with 22 first downs and 5.3 yards per play. It’s going to be tough for Baltimore to find a whole lot of running room in this matchup, but it should be a fun one to watch.
