The Washington Commanders were lucky to beat the Chicago Bears on the road in Week 6. If not for a Velus Jones muffed punt that gave Washington an immediate red zone opportunity, Justin Fields missing a wide open receiver in the end zone and Darnell Mooney catching the final pass of the game clean, the Commanders would be 1-5 entering a home date against the struggling Green Bay Packers.
With the trade deadline approaching (Nov. 1), the Commanders need to start stockpiling wins to convince the front office to keep this roster intact.
