The Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers clash against each other on Sunday for some football action atLevi’s Stadium. The Dolphins are holding an 8-3 record on the year so far as they beat the Texans in their last game. As for San Francisco, they’re 7-4 so far this season and they are coming off a win over New Orleans.
The Dolphins kicked off their season with wins over the Patriots, Ravens and Bills, then lost and couldn’t keep up the streak going against the Bengals, Jets and Vikings. Since then, Miami has now won five straight outings, beating the Steelers, Lions, Bears, Browns and Texans.
If we take a look at their Sunday matchup against the Houston Texans, Miami jumped out to an impressive 30-0 lead by halftime. Sadly, they didn’t score in the second half but still managed to close out a 30-15 win. QB Too Tagovailoa led Miami on 229 yards and one TD, while Tyreek Hill had 85 yards on six grabs.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers were 3-2 over their first five games of the season, including wins over the Seahawks, Rams and Panthers.Since then, San Francisco now has gone 4-2 over their last six, taking out the likes of Rams, Chargers, Cardinals and Saints.
In their last matchup against the New Orleans Saints, the 49ers went into the locker room with a 10-0 advantage. San Francisco managed to score three points in the second half for a 13-0 shutout. Jimmy Garoppolo posted 222 yards with a touchdown, while Brandon Aiyuk caught five balls for 65 yards.
Ultimately the Dolphins are on a pretty nice run right now, and they took care of a bad Texans team in their last encounter. Miami posted 339 yards (66 rushing) against Houston with 25 first downs and just four penalties. The Dolphins now have hit 30 or more points in four straight matches.
Looking at San Francisco, they did have a nice defensive line in the win over the Saints, even if the game was a little stale. The 49ers allowed 260 yards and 14 first downs in the shutout victory. San Francisco might have the tools to win this one, but Miami won’t give them an easy time.
