This rematch against the Commanders from just 2 weeks prior, is an absolute must win matchup for New York. Their season is on the edge of a cliff, and they will need their offensive line to show why exactly they deserve to be in the NFL.
Barkley’s health status might decide the fate of this game before it even starts. The superstar RB had limited time last week against the Eagles due to an injury. In order for New York to take this game, Barkley absolutely needs to be at full strength, while putting on classic performances we are used to seeing from him.
Taking a look at Washington, they’re coming off of their bye week and looking to repeat their successful previous result against New York. Even with QB problems and injuries all over the roster this time around, Washington is currently predicted to be in the NFL playoffs stage if they take the win today.
Taylor Heinicke has done just enough to push this Washington squad to a possible offseason campaign. The Commanders have now won, or tied, in 7 of their last 8 games. As such Washington will be looking for another Heinicke late game throw to push them to playoff safety.
