Browns Analysis: Deshaun Watson is finally back
The Cleveland Browns, who finished 11-6 and earned their first postseason trip since 2020, are hoping to continue improving in 2024. However, the Browns’ postseason presence was short-lived as Houston destroyed them 45–14 in the Wild Card round. The Browns had a difficult time in 2023, beginning with Deshaun Watson at quarterback and concluding with none other than Joe Flacco. While Flacco is out of the picture, Jameis Winston steps in to cover in case Watson is hurt once more. The Browns will have to wait and watch if Nick Chubb returns, since it appears unlikely that he will return anytime soon and they don’t want to rush him back. Nyheim Hines and D’Onta Foreman were acquired by the Browns to support Jerome Ford in the meantime.
Cowboys Analysis: Ezekiel Elliot returns to the team
After finishing 12-5 for the third straight season and losing to the Green Bay Packers within the Wild Card round during a 48-32 shootout, the Dallas Cowboys will be hoping to live up to the hype after another campaign where supporters were left wanting more. However, the game was over relatively early as the Cowboys trailed 27-0 through the second quarter and 48-16 in the beginning of the fourth. Following a season in which he led the NFL in touchdown passes with 36, a career-high, Dak Prescott is back. It’s significant that CeeDee Lamb, who led the NFL with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 14 touchdowns—all career highs for Lamb—finally inked an agreement with the organization.
