Titans Analysis: Will Levis is still struggling
After defeating Miami 31-12 in their recent game, the Tennessee Titans are 1-3 on the season. Tennessee had a 9-3 lead at the half and easily won thanks to 22 points in the 2nd half. Mason Rudolph, the backup quarterback, took over and led the Titans to victory after starting quarterback Will Levis sustained a quick injury. Although Levis appears to be ready to play in Week 5, it’s not obvious if the Titans will benefit from this given the young quarterback has a very high turnover rate in 2024.
- While Tony Pollard has had a couple of standout performances in 2024, his best came in Week 4 versus Miami.
- In addition to 2 receptions, Pollard ended the game with 22 rushes for 88 yards plus a touchdown.
Colts Analysis: Hoping Jonathan Taylor is present
After losing their recent game versus Jacksonville 37-34, the Indianapolis Colts are now 2-3 on the season. Indianapolis fell behind 34-20 in the final quarter, but with 2:40 remaining, they matched the score with a pair of runs and ultimately lost on a last second field goal.
- Due to an injury sustained last week, starting quarterback Anthony Richardson was unable to play for the Colts.
- Joe Flacco, the backup quarterback, has filled in excellently over the past two weeks, throwing for more than 300 yards including 3 touchdowns in the Jaguars game.
- If Richardson recovers we expect him to start, despite Flaco’s performances.
With Flacco behind center, Josh Downs has flourished. In Week 4, he caught 8 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. In Week 5, he caught 9 passes for 69 yards. If Jonathan Taylor is sidelined for their next NFL game, the Colts will most likely default once more to their passing game.
