Leeds will be hoping Gracia can use his prior Premier League experience to help the team avoid relegation after helping Watford avoid the drop in the second half of the 2017–18 season. The following season, Gracia led Watford to their highest-ever top-flight finish of 11th place while also guiding them to the FA Cup final.
Although Gracia has yet to take charge of team practice for Leeds, the Whites are optimistic that the Spaniard will receive his work permit in time to manage the match against Southampton on Saturday. Gracia faced Southampton in his first game in charge of Watford, a game he unfortunately lost 1-0 in the FA Cup.
