Leicester will try to end their 4-game winless streak while they host Everton at the King Power Stadium on May 8. Frank Lampard is trying his hardest to keep his team away from the bottom of the standings, but he is in a difficult position after the recent charges made against him. They need 2 more points if they want to reach the 17th place, where Leeds is currently sitting. Leicester is also in a race for a higher spot in the standings where they can reach the top 10 if things go their way.
Rodger’s men recently took a loss against Tottenham, and it wasn’t pretty to watch. Conte’s team completely dominated Leicester throughout the entire game and Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho was the only one that managed to score a goal for his team. Before their encounter against Tottenham, Leicester had a draw against Aston Villa and Everton. Leicester doesn’t necessarily come in their best form, but they’ll try their hardest to secure a victory.
Unfortunately for Everton, Lampard was charged for post-match ‘penalty’ comments after last month’s 2-0 defeat at Liverpool. Lampard suggested a penalty would have been given if the challenge had been made on a Liverpool player. Frank Lampard has until Monday 9 May 2022 to provide a response. This doesn’t make the situation any better for Everton as this only raises the tension within the team.
On the bright side, they had a recent victory over Premier’s League 3rd place team Chelsea. The game had a very slow first half as not much was happening. Once the second half arrived, Richarlison pushed the pedal to the metal and scored a goal in Everton’s favor.
What is going to make this match interesting is to see how Everton is able to perform after the charges against their manager. If somehow Everton manages to take down Leicester, this match will be remembered for quite a while.
