Rodger’s men’s most recent wins were against Watford and Norwich, the two teams sitting at the bottom of the standings and already secured their relegation to the 2nd division. Playing against Southampton isn’t necessarily a challenge, but it definitely isn’t going to be as easy as playing against relegated teams. Now, if we take into consideration that the Wolves only have 1 game left to play, Leicester winning their next two matches would basically secure them 8th-place, even if it doesn’t really matter in the big picture.
When these two teams played against each other back in December, it ended up in a 2-2 draw, although it doesn’t really matter because they were in a much different situation back then. The Premier League season is coming to an end, and even if this matchup doesn’t have a lot of implications for the standings, it’s always fun to see how the teams play in their last games.
