While at the beginning of the season many fans and experts pitted the squad to be one of the teams to look for, especially when thinking about the fight for the top spots in the domestic rankings, as of today Everton are fighting to maintain their place in the EPL rather than battling for a spot in any upcoming continental tournament next season. It’s not that they don’t have the star power, with players like Yerry Mina, Alex Iwobi, Fabian Delph, Allan and Richarlison amongst others all putting their best foot forward to get the job done. It just seems like the level of competition ended up overwhelming the team and now they have to fight for each point they can get, including the three up for grabs on Sunday at Anfield.
