EPL Relegation
Where champions conquer other squads will suffer, today we are going to take a look at the favorites for relegation in the 2023-24 EPL season. Several contenders sadly find themselves in this list, however there are 3 favorites to stay in the red zone for most of the upcoming year.
Bournemouth
After the signing of Milos Kerkez and Romain Faivre, Bournemouth has not made much noise. The Cherries are hoping to build a squad that can bring them out of the relegation zone and even push for mid table places. However a lack of teamwork and overall vision has placed them in everyone’s relegation list for the 2023-24 season.
Sheffield United
The Blades have not been able to settle in the EPL since their promotion back in 2018-2019, however they are now back for the upcoming season. Contrary to Bournemouth, they have been linked with several moves that could improve the side, such as: Anis Slimane, Yasser Larouci, and Benie Traore. The team is attempting to shape a hard working squad with a high rate of both speed and determination, however the lack of creativity within the Blades should prove fatal in their EPL comeback season.
Luton Town
A Cinderella story like none other, in 2024 we will see Luton Town playing in the EPL. Fans were ecstatic to see The Hatters at top flight, however that excitement quickly vanished after seeing the income requirement that it came with. Between much needed remodeling of their home grounds and the selling of Ryan Giles, Luton Town have found themselves in need of income. Even though the Hatters have signed the most amount of players (5 total) between all 3 favorites for relegation, their overall talent is not close to Premier League level.
The 2023-24 EPL season will kick off on August 11th, 2023, with the first fixture showcasing a battle between Crystal Palace and Arsenal at Selhurst Park.
