Two Serie A strugglers face off on Sunday, as Lecce travel to face Bologna. Both teams have been in miserable form in recent weeks and sit just above the bottom three, with the match at the Renato dell’Ara a potential relegation six-pointer.
Since taking over from Sinisa Mihajlovic, Thiago Motta has faced very similar struggles to his predecessor. Admittedly, Bologna have had a recent run that included Juventus and Napoli in the last three games, but defensive frailties have also shown up against the likes of Sampdoria and Empoli.
Motta will be hoping that their opponents, who have one of the worst attacking records in Serie A, will provide the chance for only a second win of the season. Even so, we predict that there may not be anything to separate the two teams this weekend.

Unfortunately for Motta’s side, Marko Arnautovic is likely to be out until November, with Joshua Zirkzee playing in the meantime. Few changes are expected from the hosts who impressed against Napoli last weekend.
On the other hand, Morten Hjulmand should be able to return having served his red card suspension and may slot straight back into the Lecce midfield for Sunday’s game for Thorir Helgason, which should give Baroni some relief.
