As for Korea, they lost 3-0 to Japan in the EAFF East Asian Cup final not too many months back, but they qualified for the World Cup with relative ease, as they finished their qualification process by beating Iran, Syria and Lebanon with clean sheets in each game. On the other hand, they will struggle to do that again here.
Uruguay will definitely be wanting to start their World Cup participation on the right foot and want to beat South Korea, however, Son and company want to show their country that they’ve gotten better since Russia 2018 and defeating Uruguay is a great way to show that.
