Chase Hooper and Jordan Leavitt represent an intriguing matchup in the UFC lightweight division. Though neither fighter appears intimidating at first glance, both possess excellent grappling techniques which should make this matchup highly entertaining. Both will meet on November 18th.
Early this year, Hooper appeared poised to put together his first winning streak since losing both fights he had been involved with prior. While Hooper has struggled to score points recently, he is still only 24 years old and therefore plenty of time left in which to turn things around.
Jordan Leavitt is coming off of a much-needed win after an inauspicious beginning to his UFC career. Even after dropping three fights, Leavitt has proven himself as an unpredictable threat that poses real problems inside the octagon.
Both fighters have enjoyed an excellent run recently, but to remain competitive in this stacked division they will need to continue performing at their best. It is unlikely either man will fall off any rankings any time soon so all efforts must be made to remain in the race.

However, should Hooper face an opponent able to counter his aggression in the clinch and prevent him from using jab or leg kicks, his chances of victory would diminish significantly. Therefore he should approach each fight carefully without leaning heavily on natural advantages he possesses.
