Price vs Morono Fight Preview

On Saturday, June 1, 2024, Niko Price and Alex Morono square off at UFC 302. Keep reading more articles like this for the most in depth martial arts analysis out there.

Niko Price Analysis: Aggressive and unpredictable fighter

Since joining the UFC in 2016, Niko Price (15-7) has gone 7-7-0-2 and has established a reputation as an entertaining cage warrior. Price has only been able to win once in his previous six fights since 2020; his latest two defeats have come via KO/TKO. Following a failing drug test the first time around, Price will be aiming to get revenge for his victory over Morono once more. Price has a reach of 76 inches and is 6’0″. Even though he hasn’t been as aggressive in his recent fights, Niko Price has proven to be one of the more entertaining and unpredictable fighters in the Welterweight Division, and he has what it takes to get back on the winning track. Price was the considerably more aggressive fighter on their first encounter; he did a terrific job of stuffing Morono’s takedown attempts and keeping the bout moving quickly.

Alex Morono Analysis: Strong fighter on the ground

In the UFC, Alex Morono (24-9) has a record of 13-6-0-1, with his lone “No Contest” occurring against Price in their opening match. Morono has won six of his previous eight fights and has undoubtedly appeared more reliable since their first encounter. After defeating Court McGee by unanimous decision, he will be seeking retribution against Niko Price. Morono has a 72-inch reach and is 5’11”. Entering this match, Alex Morono had already defeated Court McGee in three rounds in April of previous year. Morono gave a flawless performance overall, dominating the ground fights and controlling the striking exchanges with McGee, a skilled wrestler.
