Josh Quinlan Analysis: He has 4 KOs in his career
When Josh Quinlan (6-2) competed in the Contender Series, he appeared to be the next big thing after finishing Logan Urban. He then went one better, decisively knocking out Jason Witt in little over two minutes of the opening round. Quinlan faces Adam Fugitt this weekend at UFC Vegas 93, but he has lost his last two fights, so he is in a position where he needs to win. Quinlan has won six fights by finishes, four by knockout, and two by submission, demonstrating his natural ability to finish fights. He enjoys pushing the action, moving forward, and hitting hard to subdue his opponents. Quinlan struggled to establish his range against the two rangy strikers he faced in his last two battles.
Adam Fugitt Analysis: Only won once in the UFC
Adam Fugitt (9-4) defeated Solomon Renfro in LFA in just 43 seconds, punching his ticket to the UFC. With a TKO victory over Yusaku Kinoshita in between two defeats via unanimous decision against Mike Malott and Michael Morales, he is presently just 1-2 in his UFC career. Fugitt faces Josh Quinlan this weekend, and he’ll be trying to turn things around and not lose consecutive fights. Despite his poor performance in the UFC, Fugitt has had his moments. He put up a strong battle against two of the best prospects in the welterweight class, but each of them ultimately prevailed. He also produced one of his best performances to date in defeating Yusaku Kinoshita with a dominant finish.
