Themba Gorimbo Analysis: He won his last fight

After losing via guillotine choke in his UFC debut to AJ Fletcher, Themba Gorimbo (12-4) was able to bounce back with consecutive strong performances. In his most recent fight, he mercilessly knocked out Pete Rodriguez in just 32 seconds, sending him flying into another world. When Gorimbo fights Ramiz Brahimaj this weekend at UFC Vegas 92, he hopes to make it three wins in a row. After putting up a strong show for Fury FC, Themba Gorimbo was given the opportunity to compete in the UFC; however, he lost his debut match to AJ Fletcher via second-round guillotine choke. After that defeat, Gorimbo has rebounded greatly, winning back-to-back fights and most recently brutally finishing Pete Rodriguez at the age of 32.

Ramiz Brahimaj Analysis: Coming back to fighting

Ramiz Brahimaj (10-4) just returned from a 27-month absence from competition after nearly retiring from baseball due to injuries. He had a much-needed victory in the first round, submitting Michael Gillmore, before his injuries. Now, he’ll be trying to make up for missed time this weekend at the UFC Apex when he faces the rapidly rising Themba Gorimbo. When Ramiz Brahimaj defeated Carlos Martinez for LFA back in 2019, he appeared to be a promising prospect. That didn’t last long, as in round three Brahimaj was stopped by a doctor when Max Griffin, in his UFC debut, viciously tore apart his cauliflower ear, which essentially looked like meat hanging off a bone. Brahimaj is merely 2-1 since his first bout and hasn’t competed since February 2022 due to a spinal cord injury so severe that he was close to quitting the sport.
