After defeating Young Boys 3-1 on the road in their Champions League group stage opener on Tuesday night, RB Leipzig’s unbeaten streak across all competitions now stands at four games.
Goals from Mohamed Simakan, Xaver Schlager, and Benjamin Sesko helped Die Roten Bullen get off to a winning start in Group G, which also features reigning European champions Manchester City and Serbian team Red Star Belgrade. Die Roten Bullen had previously defeated Stuttgart, Union Berlin, and Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
Although Leipzig have lost their last three trips to Monchengladbach, they have won six of their last eight games away from home in all competitions, losing only twice to Leverkusen in that span.
