While Colorado is utilizing the remainder of this season to lay the groundwork for future success, Atlanta is making the most of the current one. As the defending World Series champions, the 2021 Atlanta Braves are currently in first place of the NL East Division and have the advantage of playing their first round of playoff games at home.
The Braves have won this season in a variety of ways, but Monday’s game introduced a new dimension. In the seventh inning, Ronald Acuna Jr., who had four hits, a home run, and two stolen bases, had to contend with excessively excited spectators.
