Although the figures may be similar, Toronto’s method has been quite distinct. The Blue Jays rank 11th in slugging, 9th in OBP, 5th in batting average, and 10th in OPS. A 22nd-ranked walk rate complements MLB’s 5th-lowest strikeout rate. The majority of the public would expect them to hit more home runs, but they compensate in other areas.
